Draw your own conclusion based on what i'l provide you with down bellow, but to me it appears that class 2 elastics, fix your recessed mandible, i talked to my orthodontist and to my cousin (shes a dentist) and read multiple articles on it, aswell as searching up before and afters.

I also wear them and have seen improvements in my lower third overtime, my jaw recession was terrible, but now its improved alot
