I don’t think it affects smv at all since like all “chimp outs” from all races they’re very rare and only in the news cycle for a short period of time. The exception being 9/11 which lowered Arab smv a lot imo but it’s recovering now

Dylan is a bad example but I think things like the halo effect are different for whites compared to blacks since they don’t get as generalized as say some black guy doing a drive by shooting with some gang members, but people correlate being a school shooter with obviously being the lowest of the low... though I guess sometimes dead shooters like Elliot and Dylan do get some more increased female attention if/after they’re gone.
