So I was checking my bite and I’m confused whether it’s dental or skeletal.
In my normal bite, my lower third looks short.
But when I align my upper and lower teeth edge-to-edge, my face suddenly looks more balanced and proportional.

From what I’ve read, if the lower third looks short only when teeth are closed but looks normal when aligned, it’s usually dental, not skeletal.
Just wanted to confirm — does this mean I have a dental deep bite and not a skeletal
one?

I have the similar situation tbh only ortho can fix it also if your ortho wants to extract your teeth don't let them do it

I read somewhere that you can only have skeletal SFS if you have a short maxilla, but my gums and teeth are visible when I smile as much as I can. My friends also say that when I jut my jaw, my skull looks tall.

it's when your lower or upper teeth curved down or up so when you jut there's probably some free space between molars because of the front teeth this may be one of the reasons why your skull seems tall
Oh, thanks. I just want to know whether it’s skeletal or dental, because if it’s skeletal, it’s over for me
