Yes, before djs, marpe is an opportunity to expand your midface and airway from the inside out.

Its just not seen as feasible or worth the roi due to its length and cost. But it is the best outcome with your treatment and planning.

You see many cases regretting not doing marpe and trying to expand post djs. You're fucking with your metal plates and weaker bone there doing that vs doing it prior.

Aesthetic wise my face looks less sunken in and have a nice wide smile. That coupled with my big jaw rotation from surgery made it look a lot nicer.

yeah bro in my opinion MARPE is cope, the only real benefit is the mouth widening if you have bad lip width which commissuroplasty mogs it do death and all this shit about it helping canthal tilt and cheekbones is so minor no one would ever notice IRL, its a complete waste of money that could be going towards other surgerys that will actually have a drastic impact on you, imagine spending 7k-15K on a surgery and no one can even notice the difference and you have to point out to them "oh look my canthal tilt is slightly higher" its retarded

yeah that makes sense. Tbh I do need mouth widening (which ig could come from the segmental) and yeah my lip width isnt the most ideal but my situation is really weird. Like I have a mouth width on the average side but the vermillion (the side parts not the cupid) is weirdly sucked down but there is flesh and when I pull it up it looks decent. Im going to get inframalar implants with the bimax and eyework after anyways so idc too much abt those copish benefits from marpe. 7-15k Is INSANE holy
