Does 2300 calories seem fair for slow weight loss?

5’10 80kg rn

Don’t care about fast weight loss and would like to be 15% bf half way through the year (probably currently 20%)

Already tried to cut but I did it very aggressively and got health problems so I wanna take it slow now

Tagging people who may know something about this

For ur height and weight seems too high unless you’re working out vigorously

Seems too high to me as well regardless of if you workout or not.As @volcelfatcel said I’d put it to 1750-1800,that shouldn’t cause health issues hopefully

Otherwise it might take you forever to cut that is if you can at that intake, you might plateaue bf wise at 2300

experiment till you know, start at 2000, do weightlifting and cardio and see how much you lose with the same amount of calories. you should weigh your self once everyday ideally in the morning on an empty stomach.

Add the calories you've burned throughout the week and you'll know your metabolism rate in time.

Im 6’2, 90kg a bit over 20% bf with decent musclemass and im eating around 2000 cals a day. If i were you i would probably ho for around 1700-1800 but if you arent worried about losing musclemass you can go as low as you’d like.

20:4 warrior diet (high protein low carb), 2000-2500 calories a day, exercise 3-4x a week for 30-60 minutes, sleep for 7-8 hours

healthy lifestyle, testosteron boost, losing bf

Calories are a simple math equation for weight loss
Roughly a calorie deficit of 3500 calories = 1 pound of weight loss (inversely weight gain if at surplus).

Let’s say you’re a young guy with decent mass and high activity levels burning around 2500 calories a day which is a pretty generous high estimate it’s likely lower.

2300-2500 = 200 deficit

3500/200= 17.5 days to lose 1 pound not accounting for water weight.

It’s really inefficient.

Now say a more realistic TDEE for you is around 2300.
Say you eat 1800 calories a day
1800-2300 = 500 deficit

3500/500 = 7 days to lose 1 pound (0.45kg) which is reasonable, there was a guideline can’t remember from stating it is safe to lose up to 2 lbs a week so this is in the clear.

I’m doing 1800-2000 & I’m 210 lol
