I woke up today with extremely shitty collagen...my skin looks rough with lots of bumps on the left side and pimples on my jawline and chin. I have benzoyl peroxide and I want to use it to clean off that shit but i’m afraid that it might make my collagen worse. Anyone has any idea on the effects of benzoyl peroxide on collagen?

@benignice

tbh if it is really shitty just wash it with cold water and put something like a moisturizer on.

Does CeraVe moisturizing cream increase collagen?

Benzoyl Peroxide made my skin red and scaly, CeraVe might be good for collagen im not entirely sure

I dont know about that, but benignice said that you should be fine if you use a good moisturizer

Benzoyl peroxide seems like a sarcastic joke to me upon my research.

I wouldn't recommend it even though I haven't used it.

You are better off with a good quality moisturizer.

it won't, but it does dry out the skin a lot so just moisturize

Nah it’s the most effective topical over the counter cream to clean out mild acne.

Idk but it’s working wonder for my bacne. My collagen looks even better but it could be that I’m moisturizing my face more often now

Yes it worked for me as well and made my skin look smoother but I was scared I was destroying my collagen because of the hyperpigmentation and dry skin/inflammation side effects.

you mfers dont even know what collagen is lmao

Wash your face with a cleanser and moisturize twice daily. You shouldn’t have any problems with dry skin if you do that

How often did you use? Was it everyday? Or every 2-3 days.

Everyday and sometimes twice a day. I just started with it last week but it has cleared up my skin A LOT

Gonna have to start using it again tbh. I need to buy other collagen increasing products but i don’t wanna sacrifice the money I have saved up for MSE.

That isn't how that works.
You mean your skin looks like shit. Collagen isn't the issue here.
