Does marpe help with forward growth?

I know marpe splits the suture in ur maxilla and pushes it outward but does it actually give forward projection?

I had a marpe. It can give minor forward growth, but it's basically nothing. Atleast in my case

Yeah, i was very young when i had my Marpe though, but it literally saved me.
