Dr. Konrad walerzak Bimax consult (after)

it doesn't really in guys once they go past their mid 20s. They still get expansion but not much in the nasal cavity.
You have a misunderstanding

This is true of SARPE and MSE due to their actions and that's WHY they are specifically bad for this age group and beyond.

They cause more detail tipping than anything else.

All the MSE etc providers CLAIM to get success rates perfect splits etc but when you look at their patients you see the flared teeth outwards, you see the Brody bite, you see minimal nasal expansion, and a massive diastema to booth

That is in part due to expansion pattern and the fact that they couldn't overcome the more mature craniofacial structure as they claimed

This is why Li does his EASE procedure to actually release the sutures and cause a split DURING surgery which you push outwards post surgery with the expander this causing nasal volume increase

Likewise SOME expanders (bone borne marpes, some custom marpes that actually get splits etc) can be seen to truly split in a CBCT with a solid gap through the entire bone and a floor to ridge expansion

SARPE is limited by the edges of the craniofacial structure you can only move it outwards so much.

The same.is true of segmental leforts and even trimming the rims of the pyriform aperture like some surgeons (cough bell, alfi, etc) claim to be sufficient

You will never expand the upper part (the entire point of a FULL midface expansion) with these methods

FME is TBD on success rate but it looks promising this far
