Not every trait we have was supposed to be beneficial, some are just there because they are there. Nature only adapts if it needs to.

True, I've always found this idea very interesting. Evolution is obviously not infallible and is a work in progress.

Morning sickness of pregnant women proves this. It's meant to egest toxic chemicals to protect the fetus but pregnant women still get alcohol poisoning.

Why? Because alcohol was a relatively new invention in the evolutinary time scale. Evolution has not caught up.

Beauty is multi-faceted, would take to long too list everything. But it ranges from averageness, health indicators, sexual dimorphism all the way to subjective beauty. All of these are interlinked too, it's not that easy to keep those terms apart.
