I watch a lot of health related videos, so Youtube pushes this commercial to me on the regular...
The intended purpose of the commercial is to sell a prescription medication called Jardiance, I doubt that the commercial is particularly effective at that goal. But the commercial is very effective at advancing a positive stereotype of fat woman. A well groomed fat woman dances and sings energetically for 30 seconds. If people see that fiction enough it leaves an image in their brains that fat people are fun and energetic, but they aren't, fat people are vial and disgusting sloths that spend 95% of their time sitting down.
