Is getting fat during puberty worth it to grow?

I'm late, I'm 16, almost 17 and I haven't had a growth spurt, I weigh 60 kg, 15 bf, is it worth gaining weight to have a growth spurt? I'm 5'5, as my bone age is probably behind,But I'm tired of waiting "3 years"
