Yes, because lookism has caused slavery, genocide, colonisation, poverty etc...

Racism literally is lookism

And "has caused" is past tense, humans are barbaric and ignorant so of course it happened in the past.

Lookism is more pervasive, every job interview since the beginning of times has been biased against ugly people, just like every time somebody is sentenced in court, getting bad grades etc.
