The goal of SEELE is to harness the power of god through technology left behind by aliens they were planning on merging mankind into a hive mind of sorts to create a true singularity event.

Our reality is very similar to this instead of alien tech to replicate god man is attempting to make him right now with AI and nueral link is the key. Make no mistake Elon Musk is not your friend at best he is a pawn. Neural link is a technology that can supposedly merge man with machine making us into a proto organic machine. Once this becomes viable whats to stop a group from harnessing the brain power of billions creating a giant hive mind web of human consciousness this is how I believe the singularity will be attained.

Just think of how evil the current world order and these people do not even have close to the amount of power they could have. Their goal is to get rid of even the illusion of human free will or thought. If you think the breaches on privacy and social credit system is bad now imagine if these people had all the data in your brain on some server and could analyze it. They are going to try to transcend their humanity and in the process they will become demons who rule this world till the end of time (or when god decides to end it). This will lead to god destroying the world for man's foolish final one time leading the the end as warned in the bible.

Prior to all this covid nonsense, if i was not doing research like a textbook schizo i would have actually fell for this current fear mongering bullshit. That means i would have been living in my house even more, even more antisocial and cramped up, with all types of masks and booster bullshit in and on my body. I would have been scared for my life, even more overstressed and with legit signs of syndrome such as stockhlom. I would have been looking at the news for dopamine and falling for what they usually do to make stories interesting. Even more of an total idiot. Look, I haven't been sick for years, and the last time i remember being sick i took some kombucha and it only took me 1 sleep to instantly feel better. I watched the anime maybe I missed something but it felt overrated.

It was 72 episodes longest anime I've watched that wasn't divided into many seasons. And I felt like half the episodes could have been deleted without changing the plot.

My favorite part of it was the world building and how interesting post cold war Eastern Germany was they were very accurate with the political climate and culture of the time. But it just seemed like it was way too long for no reason. The extra time did not seem to serve a purpose. Johan was cool but what was the point they set him up to be Hitler 2.0 or the anti Christ himself and all he does is kill a dozen people.

Maybe I am missing something but the lesson about lives being equal could have been shown in 1/8th the time span. Kinda reminds me of Batman and joker Tenemia should have just shot Johan. I don't like plots where they drag it out and villain just kills people like if this were realistic he would have snapped and killed Johan

I might try it... Yeah the anime was so slow like it had amazing world building and the background characters were great but you can't have hours and hours of build up and then the ending is like that.

But if you already watched the anime idk if I would recommend it, read 20th Century Boys instead.

It has a similar antagonist and what you described what you wanted to happen is exactly what happens. The scale of this manga goes so far, despite starting simple, its crazy.

The manga also basically predictes current world events, crazy how accurate it is looking back jfl.
