why? to give you context anthropic (they made claude) released a model called mythos that was insane for cyber capabilities and hacked into basically everything. they released a super safe guarded version of it and it's the smartest ai model. a chinese lab made arguably the second best ai model ever that beats Openai's (they made chatgpt) smartest model. the reveal video got 14M views in a single day and topped most benchmarks. so why july 27th? kimi will be open sourced, meaning anyone can run it. what does that mean? the model will be ran on experimental hardware and it'll be extremely fast (700 tokens per second), it will be cheaper than it is now, and it will be uncensored and distilled (you can do anything with it and potentially run dumber versions on your pc). once that happens you have an extremely intelligent model that has no restrictions and its actually cheap, you can use it to hack into shit (not condoning illegal activities), make money for you, trade etc.
