I probably sound like a broken cassette player, but intermittent fasting is the bread and butter for me in order to be productive and somewhat organized. When you don't get a frequent dopamine fix via eating, you have to get it otherwise and actually earn it, that is get something done and be productive. Doing OMAD at the end of the day got me into the habit of breaking my fast only after I have taken care of my duties and chores.
I need a clean body (shower, fresh clothes), clean environment (clean room, doing laundry, cleaning cooking utensils BEFORE having my meal) and at least one check on my daily to-do list before I feel comfortable to finally sit down and eat. Because if you only eat once per day and sometimes go several days without food and are in a calorie deficit on top of that, you want to enjoy that meal as much as you possibly can and not have your mind occupied with unfinished tasks and worries. I therefore have to be more productive and earn my food similar to how our hunter gatherer ancestors had to earn theirs, albeit in a slightly different way. It is for these reasons that fasting is a deeply cleansing practice at all levels; physically and mentally, inside and out, from the cells in your body to the house you live in
