Whats the consensus on this?
In my case its seems to be mainly caused by very thin skin in that region and Im getting fat from my submental region removed anyways during a deep neck lift with the option to transfer it to my under eyes instead of just throwing it away...Not sure if I should go for it :feelsthink:

Surgery almost always mogs; similarly, I can elaborate if needed.

My opinion:

IF YOU SUCCEED, then fat grafting >>> EVERYTHING for undereyes. Implants are shit, and fillers are shit in comparison to good fat grafting undereye.

The problem is, you NEVER SUCCEED. Literally 50+% of transplanted fat dies. Or is resorbed. Do not listen to the shit surgeon-scammers say about fat remaining there forever. It does not. It works like a long-lasting filler, for 5 years if you are lucky.

So, my recommendation is FILLERS and MAKEUP. Fillers are needed to fix the structural deformity under eyes: moving orbital rim forward, smoothing the eyelid-cheek junction. It is SUPERIOR TO IMPLANTS, and fillers are a GOLDEN STANDARD right now for undereye.

The problem with fillers is TYNDALL EFFECT. In some people, some fillers cause incorrect light refraction. It makes the undereye region look bluish. Then, fillers sometimes migrate in this region, and it is very noticeable due to the eyelid small thickness.

I WOULD DO FILLERS. And already did. Unfortunately, i used only 0.5cc for. each eye, which is too little for my Indian-tier undereye. Next tmie i do it, ill get like 2cc under each eye.

Ty for the extensive answer. I know about part of the fat not surviving initially and it not being a (forever solution). Do you think the fat will die off/get absorbed evenly, if it does so, which would mean it would still look better than the current untreated state or could I be left with a "bumpy" under eye region because some little spots vanish and some stay?

"Bumpy" is ALWAYS a possibility with fat grafting. Like fillers. BUT you can dissolve fillers. YOU CANNOT DISSOLVE TRANSPLANTED FAT.

I might add that I can technically get it done for free since Im already getting rhino + necklift during the same anesthesia and the doc doesnt want extra money for it. So I think I just go ahead with it and if it doesnt work I just concealermaxx like a woman :lul:
