Interesting hopefully those side effects are t systematic.It is worth noting that oral pioglitazone is known to inhibit bone formation and increase bone resorption by causing stem cells to preferentially differentiate into adipocytes rather than osteoblasts (tldr more fat, less bone).
I'm not sure if this effect will be seen in topical administration; it might only be relevant to high systemic levels.
