I was in London Victoria bus station waiting for my bus to Gatwick airport.. I went to Pret to get a coffee and when she gave it me she said.. " this is on the house" I was shocked .. I asked why and she said "sometimes we can give them for free.."

I thanked her and went about my way.

Apparently it's normal for this company to allow their staff to give a set amount of freebies.

This woman was an immigrant of some kind and didn't show any affection with a robotic voice.
