For me, playing team sports in my teens was not a net positive in terms of enjoyment v suffering

Hours spent every week at training which isn't even enjoyable
Long journeys to away games on the weekend
Standing on the sidelines in freezing conditions for 2 hours when you're a substitute
Retarded obese baldcel manager screaming at you
Players being picked over you despite them being less skilled just because they are in their senior year of the age group or because their family is close to the manager
Guys with no skill but who carry more weight being picked over you
Organized soccer is no fun because you get no time on the ball, all play is scrappy
Rugby is shit because nobody in the backline passes the ball since everyone thinks they are superman, the ball simply never reaches the wing

The summer I turned 17 I stopped playing sports and it was the most productive I'd ever been and I started making money online
I wish I had quit all organized sports at 13 and instead of doing any training, all that time was spent gymcelling
Playing sport with mates during school break or after school mogs organized sports in terms of enjoyment and is enough to remain fit

Fucking autistic twat

You belong in these slums with these weird creatures we mistake are human

If lookism comes back stay and circle jerk together in fuckery fashion

I played basketball my entire youth. I had very similar experiences as you tbh.

If I could relive my youth, I wouldn't do basketball, skip on teamsports.

It’s absolutely pointless if you have no sense of community

i personally regret sports as well, never really felt the need to go since I didn’t really have friends there.

things become 100x more enjoyable and fun when you have people alongside you to enhance the experience, otherwise you’re just suffering alone and not really a part of the team.

Sports are only fun if your teammates like you. I played basketball in high school and the entire team would bully and exclude me so despite being the best player, I barely played any minutes and was a massive waste of time being the laughing stock of my team. The team was filled with 4.5+ PSL popular kids with two 6+ PSL Chad players. Guess who got all the minutes? Never got invated to any of the team parties or anything so it was basically over with no chance of having any impact on the team. Had I had a normie+ face, I would've been a star athlete and never found this site.

College basketball was a lot better since I was less of a subhuman in comparison to the ogre oblong-faced 6'9" BBCs on my team. Was actually a lot of fun and was never picked on. We all just bullied the team managers and water boys. I would literally sit by myself in the cafeteria at college for the first few weeks like the abused dog I was and they would wave at me to come sit with them. It was the opposite in high school.

Its good if you're at least better than some of the people on your team. Which doesn't make sense, since none of you are going pro so it shouldnt matter, but it does. The bottom few players will feel useless and be made to feel like shit often.

And god forbid you fall into the trap of doing extra training alone only to still be mogged on weekends by natural talents that dont train (im guilty of this)

But tbh atleast your getting exercise and socialising, without some sport i would have just done even more permarotting
