Does anyone have links to studies supporting the full body split as the most optimal split?
lots of people saying fullbody is the best and better than U/L
main argument is that the first set yields the most hypertrophy, and the following sets yield greatly diminishing returns
im talking with a multi record powerlifter running U/L and he is worried about the validity of the studies supporting this as am I.
I Cannot find a link to the study and cannot find it in pubmed
I need to know the rest times between sets in the study(assuming 3-5 atm)

he also says that it takes 72 hours from your workout to fully replete your glycogen stores in the muscle which i believe,
but if your only doing 1 set per muscle with 0-1 rir will that deplete the glycogen stores enough to warrant the 72 hour rest?

"optimal split" implies any "splits" are useful

split matters the most after diet if you have normal hormones

"At an average time of 36 hrs postexercise, MPS in the exercised arm had returned to within 14% of the control arm value"
from 109% 24 hours post excerisise
