General consensus on Medpor

Title. I’m doing genio soon and really want some jaw angle implants, nothing big, just enough to highlight my jaw from the sides and increase my hollow cheeks from the front.
I’m from Brazil and most of the surgeons use Medpor and some use silicon, I have to cope with those since I can’t afford to go abroad for surgery, what should I do?

Yeah I read about that, it’s one of the reasons I’m trying to be conservative too

I would tell you to absolutely not have Medpor implants. You are gonna regret this. Jaw implants have a higher rate of infection and this specific material is really hard to remove if it gets infected.

If it's the only material that you can get you don't really other options other than silicone or fillers tbh

Yeah, prob going to choose silicone with screws, I’ll research more about the subject too

Higher rate of infection means what? 1/10 vs 1/50? 1/100 vs 1/500? How likely is this to actually happen?
