I normally think events that cause a stir are normally better handled by moderators who are more familiar with the users in question and are more in-tune with the community. Even though I'm active, I wouldn't be able to spot 99.99% of the users here in a crowd.

Just because I'm mentioned in a thread, it does not mean I'm the right person to handle a situation. Trust me when I say that users would rather me hand off punishments to moderators who are educated on what's happening then me being mentioned randomly and punishing because a user asked me to.
