GREENMAXXING GUIDE

TL;DR for the short attention span cels
How mf's be upping their SMVs after greenmasking
Context
I’ve been using green mask for some months now (5-6) and noticed good results from it. I always found strange that there isn’t any info about it on .org, not even BOTB posts about skincare mention it and as such I decided to make a guide on it.
Although it may seem water when talking about taking care of your facial skin (Accutane and Tretinoin being kings on the topic, specially here, with some peptides taking attention quite recently), Green Mask is surprisingly effective at what it does, that being the reason you need to push back the frequency of it's usage, but more on that later.

What does green mask do?
Sebum Regulation & Oil Absorption
Green Masks often contain components such as montmorillonite and kaolin. These two components are worth their bank specially for you oilycels as they bind excess lipids and impurities from the outer part of your skin into them, effectively clearing your skin.Anti-Inflammation
Green Masks also do contain minerals like magnesium and plant extracts, which reduce inflammatory markers in the skin; acne is normally the first that comes to mind, but in my personal experience it was more effective towards the ‘redness’ in your faceCell Turnover of your Skin
This one is good if you’re suffering from “purges” from using tretinoin. That’s because Green Mask helps remove dead skin cells (called corneocytes) which come so often from these “purges” (it’s what makes your skin looks like a lizard JFL).Improves Pore Appearance
Now, if you ever searched about how to reduce the size of your pores (I know I particularly did), you know they are mainly genetic. That being said, Green mask helps in removing something called debris, which does reduce the appearance of their visible size, I got good results from it.So, how to use it?
Now, as I mentioned prior to this, Green Mask is really powerful. It has the capacity of disrupting your skin barrier - which will leave your face a bigger mess than how it was at the beginning.
It’s intent is not the same as tretinoin, where you try upping it’s frequency alongside the weeks, nor it is to be seen as a kinda pre-event component of your skincare, infact right after it your skin is going to be very dehydrated and maybe even reddish.
I personally recommend using it 1x a week - I do it at Sundays. I recommend doing it at night after a hot bath (your pores will be opened by it), where you know you’re not going to enter in contact with the outside world afterwards.
It’s a relaxing experience, although it will be goofy as hell
on the aesthetic side of things. Still, there are few things that feel as good on your face as the sensation of the mask pulling the bad components from it.
Leave it for 10-15min. The mask does not need to be fully “solid” for you to take it off (although it's the input you're kinda shooting for, just don't leave it for a long time, you need to experiment with it, that’s why I leave a range on the recommended time).
Remember to always use a moisturizer in generous doses after taking it.
Don’t use tretinoin on the same day, and if you’re extra cautious, not even on the day before it.
