Ok for me and the 2 other EA on here, I will show you how to fix your annoying monolids.

What is a monolid

A monolid is an eyelid shape where there’s no visible crease separating the eyelid from the skin above it. This creates the appearance of smaller, flatter eye. Some people naturally have no crease at all, while others may have a crease that’s hidden under the eyelid skin, making it look like a monolid when their eyes are open. This is not to be confused with known as hooded eyes on here which is a result of a strong brow ridge that Asians dont have.

Examples of monolids
IMG 2170
IMG 2168

As you can see, the one of the left while having an existing crease, still has monolids as its mostly being covered by excess skin while the one of the right completely lacks a crease at all. Both are still monolids.

Now i present you with mogger double eyelids
IMG 2172

As you can see, much better than the monolid. Double eyelids will help make your eyes pop more and show your lashes better so why wouldn’t you want them.

Now, i present some of the temporary copes you can try till you can afford that blepharoplasty.
Btw if you completely lack a eyelid crease, outside of tapes and glues its kinda over for you:feelswhy:

Method 1: Tape/Glue
IMG 2175

Starting with the obvious, eyelid tape, glue or anything else that creates and artificial crease.

Tutorial

Summary if your lazy

  • tape: stick a thin strip just under where you want the new crease to be, then press it into place so the skin “folds” there when you open your eyes. Also Don’t place too high or else you’re gonna look feminine.
  • glue: apply a thin line of glue, wait for it to become transparent, then use any small object like a toothpick to push the eyelid skin up and hold until it stays. basically the same idea but without a strip.

Anything really works, get whatever
Glue
Tape

Pros
  • Relatively cheap
  • Easily accessible
Cons
  • Temporary
  • Gay if your caught
  • Works with crease and without
Method 2: Smoke weed, get horrible sleep, cry, and dehydrate yourself.
IMG 2177

I have no idea what i added this part so just skip it

Explained

In short Bad Sleep, Crying, Weed make your eyes puff and this creates temporary double eyelids

Other examples
  • Rubbing your eyes
  • Allergies
  • Dehydration
They have been cases (From Reddit) where people cried or rubbed their eyes for a prolonged period of time and the temporary double eyelids they got ended up becoming permanent.

Pro
  • easy
Cons
  • 0.000000001% its not gonna be permanent
  • Dumb
Method 3: Upper eyelid skin tightening
IMG 2178

Using methods like radiofrquency, ultrasound therapy, laser treatments, or threads(PDO threads) you can turn you lift your “hooded eyes”. This wont work if you lack a crease to start with.

  • Radiofrequency: Heats deep skin layers which stimulates collagen which then tightens skin, lifting up the overhanging crease.
  • Ultrasound : Focused ultrasound energy will lifts and tightens skin with collegen stimulation.
  • Laser Treatments: Target upper layers of skin which encourage new collagen.
  • Threads: dissolvable threads lift skin slightly and promote collagen production.
Where to Get It

  • Dermatology clinics/med spas: Offer RF, ultrasound, or laser treatments.
  • Oculoplastic surgeons: Offer thread lifts and laser treatments for eyelids.
You will have to do research around your own area to find places that offer these treatments. Or just diy the threads if your low inhib.
Remember to get a consultation so you dont waste money.

Anyways, here’s an example of someone who has had these treatments
IMG 2174

Pros

  • Nonsurgical
  • Long lasting (6-18 months)
  • Anti aging
Cons
  • Only foids do this
  • Requires multiple sessions
  • Expensive
  • Won’t work if you lack preexisting crease.
  • Might not work if you already have very tight skin
Method 4 prostaglandin analogs (Latisse or Bimatoprost)
IMG 2179

Use at your own risk⚠️
As im sure everyone knows, the compound in Latisse, prostaglandin analogs can cause orbital fat loss known as prostaglandin-associated periorbitopathy. While it’s bad, we can use it to our advantage to dissolve fat to help reveal double eyelids better.

Instructions for Latisse

Apply it for as long as you’d like. Around 4-16 weeks or until you see results or negative side effects.

Anyways, i dont have much evidence besides the claims of a redditor so once again, use at your own risk.
IMG 2176

Pros

  • Grows your lashes in the process
Cons
  • Only if you have pre existing crease
  • All other side effects of latisse
  • Unpredictable

Something to avoid: fat dissolvers (deoxycholic acid)

If you’re seriously considering injecting fat dissolvers into your eyelids your retarded.

Deoxychlic acid is only meant submental fat. If you use it on your eyes your gonna fuck yourself

I dont want to be responsible for someone ruining their eye area

You can try these methods but a blepharoplasty will always be superior and will land you with better results.

Anyways that’s the end of the guide, if you have any other ideas let me know

Also, since this is my first actual guide, if you could give some feedback on the formatting it would be much appreciated

I'm known for being Wasian here, so people just tag me whenever there's some sort of anti-Wasian/Asian thread

I think from an objective standpoint monolids are a failo (as those with monolids usually have comically low-PFL and just small eyes) ... But I think big monolids with nice lashes and eyebrows can look striking

Mb I meant that I have the crease but it’s covered by excess fat and the tape isn’t sticking because the fat pushes it down

this is prob cuz you either have too much fat in that area or you bought a bad tape. never the less I would switch to eyelid glue.
Tape relies on surface tension. Fat pushes it off. Glue creates adhesion which holds better. Also just a heads up, try to clean the area first to get rid of excess oils to see if that works. if not, switch to glue:)(y)
