Gym or starve?

alright so im currently at a crossroads between two choices. either start going gym and get muh appeal physique OR starve myself and hit that 8-10% bf so i can look less boneless. obviously gym sounds like the better option on paper but 1. lazy (although if its worth it idc ill just bite the bullet), 2. retarded, i dont really know much about fitness cause theres a lot of information out there (and a lot of people that say said information is fake and that THEY have the real keys to success) and 3. idk how i can bulk whilst still staying relatively slim and what kinds of meals to be eating to do so.

starve first then do 100 calorie surplus and be consistent if u wanna build muscle, no point doing shit if ur fat, or even embarassing urself at the gym by being that one fat guy lifting weights

I love jeff nippard but hes wrong on some gym takes

im skinny fat, 127lb/57kg at 5'10". starved a little bit recently but im wondering whether to continue with that or become a gymcel. also have u got any splits u would personally recommend

isnt. U should make sure u got no fat on u, then eat in a high protein 100-200 calorie surplus daily, without any cheating, if u wanna build muscle. ngl im way too lazy to do that so i just stay starvemaxxed and i do enough walking to stay low bf

i actually have no idea. i was trying to find some calipers but idk where to look in stores and i dont want to order some lest my parents think im autistic. or is there any better way to measure bf that you know of

You burn more fat if you have more muscle i believe the simple calc is like for every pound of muscle it requires 50kcal to hold onto it so if you want to cut why wouldn't you be a calisthenics fag

do both dawg, 5'10 57 kg is atrocious, imagine you get into a ltr and go to a social gathering just to be surrounded by men that look like they could molest you in a second, especially since every man is a gymcel now

ik ik. honestly i never really cared for physique too much facial attractiveness is more important, but ever since i realized that i have to lose weight to try and lose face fat and debloat its been more of a focus for me. i probably will start going gym but idk where to start since there seems to be a lot of conflicting and confusing info

its not confusion and it seems like you're making excuses to justify being lazy, not trying to be mean but if you wanted to you would go today

i did go today i tried out a new gym in my area to get a feel for the facilities. and yeah i am lazy for sure but it doesnt help when theres tons of info and seemingly not much clear and straightforward path for newbies. i think it would be easier to commit to da grind if i knew that what i was actually doing was effective and efficient, and this unknowing if it was is one of the big reasons i stopped going to the gym since it felt like my progress was slim to none
