Just purchased year supply of 2.5mg minoxidil tablets, to clarify am I to be on this for the rest of my life? Also, should I incorporate topical minoxidil as well for more local effect on my hairline?

You’ll need to be on minox the rest of your life if you want to keep the gains. Even post hair transplant if you plan to eventually go that route. You can supplement with topical if you want but it’s probably a waste; 2.5 oral daily is more than enough for regrowth, and most people won’t respond well to topical regardless (again, even if you do the oral is more than enough).

Here is a semi-related study about overlapping the two that essentially says it makes no difference. Rep and mark solution buddy boyo.

I see, what can you comment on it's potential sides? I heard bad things, I heard good things and I'm kinda inbetween it all. I'm most concerned about the potential bloat from it, also do you think I should incorporate topical finasteride or RU58841 aswell on my hairlien?

I’ve not personally taken oral, I use a compounded formula of topical minoxidil and finasteride along with a ketoconazole shampoo every other day. From what I can tell the heart sides are exceedingly rare as long as your heart isn’t already fucked going into it, and the bloating is 50/50 and easily fixed with a diuretic.

If you have true MPB you need to be taking finasteride or another 5 alpha reductase inhibitor, it’s mandatory. Minoxidil promote growth but it won’t stop further loss like fin, dut, ru will. Finasteride is enough for most to stop balding so I’d hold off on anything more extreme (dut, ru) until you try fin.

Hey I read this, and ended up with this; https://hairrepairclinic.co.uk/products/custom-topical-solution/configure

It's finasteride (0.025% I think I will choose) in TrichoSol which isn't exactly as good as liposomal/ethosomal but significantly better than most widely available mixtures, and I can mix in 0.01% tretinoin aswell.

There's also an option to pair it with some minoxidil so it's all in one, would this be a wise option or just stick to the fin/tret together and take oral min seperately?
