why people have very hard time to accept the "genetic" pill ?

Well if it's genetic that's easier to accept, if I've caused it myself and had control over it that would make me feel worse

i have jaw asymmetry (not prognathic due to misaligned teeth), my right jaw goes inward so it has less projection and i thought it's about birth defect, environment etc.
then i found some old photos of my old relatives and guess what.
they have the same type asymmetry on the jaw and we live whole another place with really different lifestyles all the time.
like in this example, i think genetic has impact more than we ever imagined.
