There are three factual axioms to this theory.
If someone takes substances to increase HGH (like MK-677) and subsequently doesn't consume enough protein, their body won't be able to produce enough IGF-1.
This is catastrophic since not only are they spending money and not growing much taller (remember, IGF-1 makes you taller, not HGH), but their blood sugar levels rises, possibly into pre-diabetic and diabetic levels. An ample and continuous production of IGF-1 would have kept it down at safer levels but since the individual isn't on a high-protein diet (120g+), they ultimately are paying to damage their body and not get the desired result.
Make sure you're consuming a lot of protein. The higher your HGH levels are, the higher your protein intake has to be.
If your HGH to Protein ratios are off, where HGH is much higher than protein intake, you could be putting yourself on the path of getting lackluster results, but also getting diabetic symptoms.
Obviously, the diabetic symptoms won't be permanent. After the thing wares off, you'll be fine.
But please be wary of this!
Useful Resources:
- High HGH levels increases blood sugar levels. That's why a minority of people here get diabetic-like effects while on MK-677.
- IGF-1 (insulin-like growth factor 1) is insulin-like. Insulin lowers blood sugar levels. IGF-1 also lowers blood sugar levels.
- Protein gets converted into amino acids. Amino acids are the body's construction materials. Those amino acids are then used as legos to build IGF-1.

The Worst Mistake in the History of the Human Race (Diet, Nutrition, Protein on Height)
"Skeletons from Greece and Turkey show that the average height of hunger-gatherers toward the end of the ice ages was a generous 5' 9" for men, 5' 5" for women. With the adoption of agriculture, height crashed, and by 3000 B. C. had reached a low of only 5' 3" for men, 5' for women."...
