The problem with looks-theory is that it's too white-centered. The average worldwide height for men is around 5'6.5. Yes, only 5'6.5. May be a little taller for younger men, possibly around 5'7.5 for men in their late teens, early 20s. Thus, you have a shit ton of nations out there where men are pretty short and the standard is lower for what constitutes as "tall". Like in a nation where men are only 5'4 (yes, there are nations where men are only 5'4-5'5 : like in the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Guatemala, Rural India, etc), tall may be 5'7-5'8 since a person of this height would obviously tower over the average man and woman.

Also, don't they care less about height in taller countries? I was watching some videos of tourists going to Scandinavia and they were saying how women were still hitting on them despite the women being their height or even taller than them lol.

If the height difference is minimal and the difference in face is rather significant, I imagine face will matter more but I suppose this is also a subjective manner so it depends.

Your point? Every culture takes from every other culture lmfao. There is no such thing as the "west" since culture evolves over time. If you were to go back in time 50 years ago, you'd be unfamiliar with americans from that time. Same if you were to go back 100 years or 150 years ago. Or if american settlers were to go back to their original countries after decades of living in america. People borrow and steal from other cultures as they are forced to integrate or conquered. It's a human condition.
