Help starting the hardmax journey downgraft bimax/ortho

Note: -I’m in the beginning of my research on this (sorry if there’s dumb questions)

I have
-slightly small face
-short piltrum
-malocclusion
-narrow pallet
-minimal teeth gaps

Now my first thought is to go to an airway orthodontist (I already have one picked out) but I’m taking a guess and saying he wouldn’t even consider a Bimax sense my bite isn’t extreme and I’m not very resessed. I just have a short face which is an aesthetic problem and he’s a functional doctor not aesthetics that being said I have no idea who to go to first because I have functional and aesthetics problems I would like to get fixed.

Other concerns:
- I’ve heard it may prevent being able to get gonion angle implants later
- Is my case extreme enough that’s it’s even worth it. Because In my case it’s not very extreme but the fact I’m tall greatly exaggerates in photos of my whole body not just my face.
-ortho will most likely recommend maspe or some kind of expansion which may cause my face to look even shorter and wider. Aswell as may widen my already wide ipd. And will widen my nose but I’ll prob get rhino anyways.


Note: obviously I’m scared of a bimax but I’m willing to do it if it makes drastic/worthy changes

Bimax would be life changing for you, it looks like you have SFS. Skip the MSE/MARPE.

Maybe. No doubt that OP would have an unparalleled ascension from bimax though.

why get bimax when no recession at all, doing bimax just for downgraft or ccw is just retarded. also smile normally and show the teeth show. if its not really small you shouldnt even think of bimax. you could prob get away with a down graft genio for 70-80 procent of the profit for 20% procent of the effort and time

i mean tooth show is both about gummy smile and lip incompetence, and gregor has too much, he is slighly downward grown in the end

in gregors total relaxed state his lips dont even close, but there are many good looking ones which have this and some jaw surgeons even live it like that for aesthetics

in this pic its even more obv that his lips dont close in total relaxation unless straining

Bimax is mostly for cases with malocclusion or severe asymmetry. What malocclusion did your ortho say you have? Did they measure overjet, etc?
