seagull is a metaphor for people who are meant to rise higher than the ordinary. The seagull flies alone, far above the world, without needing a home or nest it represents independence and the courage to go beyond what's known.

When he says "forego your longing for the land of your memories,"he means you have to let go of your attachment to your past or your old self your "average" life or the version of you that feels limited.

And "move into the dwelling place of your greater desires" means start living for your higher goals the things you truly want, even if it's uncomfortable or lonely.

Finally, "our love will not bind you nor will our needs hold you" means real love or real self worth doesn't cage you it gives you space to grow and become who you're meant to be.

TLDR-Stop wishing you were someone else or stuck in your old identity. Let go of the comfort zone rise above. The seagull flies alone because greatness often does.

everyone is special in their own way and has their own path in life. i dont believe in judging people by the metrics people obsess over since i dont believe in anything and therefore nothing stands out as being "better"

Average means 50% of people are less attractive than you. So you’re doing better than half of the population. At least you’re not ugly.

A benefit to being average is people don’t automatically assume you are too arrogant and are more likely to see you as nice.

Also some women are intimidated by men who are too good looking and find men with some imperfections safer to approach. People with perfect symmetry can look less authentic and less down to earth. Flaws are what make us human and humans want to approach other humans.
