How do I take care of my hair

I see all niggas saying "if you want to be this guy (insert a picture of an old man with good hair) then take care of your hair" and stuff like "take care of your hair if you want to have hair when older" but how do I exactly take care of my hair what do I do, and if i have the genetics for balding (idk about that yet) wouldn't I still bald even if i take care of my hair?
