How does a palette expander change face shape?

So I went to finally get braces
however my top teeth are crowded and they are going to make me do a palette expander for a few months to expand my mouth so my teeth aren't crowded anymore.

I asked this jew dentist if it would affect my face in any way and he said it wouldn't change anything about my face

Couldn't find any info on google, so trying to find info here, anyone here have before and after palette expander pics?

depends on your age

if your 12, your palate will obviously expand making your lower and upper maxilla more prominent

if your older, mse + fm is a better choice
