how much does side matter compared to front

ik they both matter but how much. my front is actually average to slightly above. my side is horrendous (mandibular recession, overbite, downward growth, high gonial angle) so my self perception is super skewed. i basically have every jaw failo you can have to some degree.

zero, i mean side needs to looks presentable, but else nah. big nose or recessed chin is not bad if front is good

its just my opnion, for the 3/4 its mostly ogee curve i think

It's as important as the front and you can't separate one from another. To put it simply, you can never have truly aesthetic front if your side is bad.

Things like recessed maxilla are all visible on the front.

Not so much, appeal matter more, ,,perfect side" looks bad and uncanny.
