How much vitamin D should I supplement

I get around 40-50 minutes of sun exposure daily which is obviously not enough and I’m thinking about taking vitamin D supplement, how much should I take?

They work really well, highly recommend them.

"not enough" 40-50 minutes may be enough, depending on what time of the day you get it and how much skin are you exposing. 30-60 minutes is usually enough for most people.

Given your sun exposure, and assuming you're getting some vitamin D from your diet too (salmon, milk, etc), then I believe 2-5k IUs should be plenty, you can maybe push it to 10k IUs but I don't really see the use of that for you. Regardless of how much you supplement always make sure to pair it with vitamin K2, ALWAYS, you can get heart issues otherwise.
 
just eat smoked salmon in the morning and sunbathe 30 mins a day
