How much vitamin D should I supplement

I'm would start with 2,000 IU a day and check my levels in a couple of months. If it looks like u need more, u might need to start with 5,000 IU again

"not enough" 40-50 minutes may be enough, depending on what time of the day you get it and how much skin are you exposing. 30-60 minutes is usually enough for most people.

Given your sun exposure, and assuming you're getting some vitamin D from your diet too (salmon, milk, etc), then I believe 2-5k IUs should be plenty, you can maybe push it to 10k IUs but I don't really see the use of that for you. Regardless of how much you supplement always make sure to pair it with vitamin K2, ALWAYS, you can get heart issues otherwise.
