you dont have to you can tell when its too wide or too low by just looking at it

Align the ruler with the pupil of your left eye whilst your right eye is closed

Once you do that, close your left eye and open your right eye and where ever your right pupil is on the ruler is your IPD

if ur es ratio is ideal (you can measure it in photoshop,paint)
then interpupillary distance is pretty worthless

Naa bro, not for me, my IPD is about 67-68mm and my face is narrow

My fwhr is 1.6, the only reason why i don't have a horse face is because of my compact midface which offsets it a bit
