How to dress good?

I know what colours I should pick (autumn type according to this seasonal stuff) but how to pick a style? Jfl how are you supposed to know what suits you? What style types do even exist? Any good guides on this or any advice pls

Depends on what personality you want to show off. Don’t follow others, pick something that works for you. If you go to a good higher end menswear outlet (go to a big city to find these. NYC is the United State’s fashion capital) and ask for help from the reps. They will often dress in the clothing from the store itself and will guide you through a look. These are people who get paid on commission so they are sneaky, but they can help you figure out a style. Most people who work at high end fashion actually do care about fashion and want people walking out of their stores looking the best they can. You should plan to spend a lot of money on good wardrobe material. Like thousands of dollars. Like as much as a rhinoplasty would cost. If you really want to wear clothes that improve your look, will last, and look manly and aesthetic, you need to spend surgery level money on clothes.

just don’t go full moron and go to the Rick Owens store or some shit. Buy neurotypical high end clothes.

also find a model or actor who has a style you like and think might work on you. See what they wear and where they shop. Gandy for example has a really good style but it’s almost too good, it might look bad on someone who’s not good looking enough to pull it off. If you gel with the pretty boy look, take a look at Timothy Chalamet or whatever that guys name is, he’s currently a fashion icon. Just an example

Really, a friend spent a year in London working, he said it was the other way around - tons of people with unusual clothes - besides fancy suits also folks dressed as anime or movie characters, vintage clothes, goths, punks, etc...In Romania you don't see stuff like this in public.

That's the thing - there's a whole variety of styles there, not just one, people are more flexible and less judgemental on how you dress.
