I'll just describe what my symptoms are and other things that might be related to causing my issue:
- Right side of mandible body is lower down (kinda feels like it's melted or pulled downward which is especially noticeable from the chin even when adjusting for my jaw being tilted down to the right exacerbating the appearance of asymmetry).
- opening jaw causes it to snap open instead of opening smoothly (only happens when I open my jaw fully).
- clicking noise especially after I don't use my jaw for a while which also hurts a bit.
- jaw gets pulled back a bit giving the illusion of a slightly recessed chin and lips
- 1mm crossbite
- upper palate width on the lower end of average (37mm approximately)
- lower palate definitely narrow. Very V shaped, but at the same type only mild crowding.
- haven't had any teeth pulled out and both upper wisdom teeth are erupted with no issues or pain. 1 lower wisdom tooth half erupted (left) no pain or problems yet.
- maxilla is not recessed or narrow.
- jaw is not downgrown/recessed, my convexities are ideal.
I personally believe this a problem with my lower jaw. It's borderline deformed and moderately narrow (84% width of bizygo).
What can I do to help with this at least temporarily?
