I've never had energy problems on zero carbs and in fact my natty PRs were all set on carnivore. I think a lot of people especially younger people who try zero carb or carnivore probably do a shit version of it to save money, like with lots of whey protein and crap like that instead of meat and eggs. To eat enough animal food to gain mass - say 3000 calories - is a lot of food and it's going to be way more satiating than eating 5000 calories of pasta and oats. It's not cheap either. When I set my natty PRs I was eating about a kilo of meat every day, 12-15 whole eggs, and a ton of dairy mainly raw cheeses. I was stronger and looked better than when I was eating a typical bro diet with rice/oats/beans and crap like that.

People who think you need carbs to gain muscle/strength just don't know wtf they are talking about. There isn't even a mechanism by which carbs would be essential for gains. Insulin spike anabolism supposedly, when protein is also insulinogenic and far more anabolic.

Protein on itself spikes insulin which alone destroys the argument why carbs are needed

Try your best to avoid processed food because they like tend to be high calorie, hyperpalatable, and lacking sufficient micronutrients.
Instead focus on whole foods, low saturated fats, low cholesterol, high fiber and adequate mufa, moderate carbs and protein. If you are a gymcel you might just need to bring the protein up, anywhere from 1 to 1.5g per pound of bodyweight will be more than sufficient.

You do realize that endothelial function is like intimately linked with erection quality. Your diet high in saturated fat essentially diminishes that. Perhaps not at 20 but later.

Feeling good or looking good has absolutely ZERO correlation with your lipid panel. Re-read this sentence until it sinks in. Only blood test can detect LDL-c and ApoB. You are most likely having high ldl-c and at high risk of heart disease and cardiovascular problems.

Lastly, if you minimize or do not consume exogenous dietary cholesterol, your LDL will drop! Especially if you consume lots of legumes, MUFA, and whole foods rich in fiber. We are talking about a 30% reduction of atherogenic LDL-c with this healthy lifestyle.

all you have to do is look at the GI tract of actual carnivores like lions and compare them to the GI of humans
when you do that you realize we were not meant to eat only meat or only animal products

if that doesn't convince them look at all the human outcome data and get your blood lipids checked
but idiots like @varbrah @Prettyboy @SteveRogers would rather play internet broscientist and walk around with a false sense of superiority when really they are walking heart disease patients with suboptimal blood lipid panels

During the day i have tons of energy , etc but when it comes to working out i can barley do 50s with 2 reps before fatigue kicks in . I almost absolutely need a carbohydrate source or else i feel dead
step one: eat carbohydrates
