I told her I liked her and she entertained it but nothing happened and I was acne ridden and ugly
Looked a bit better a year later and re expressed those feelings
Went a little further hung out a couple times and then she said she didn’t think we would ever be a thing
Now I look the best I have ever looked and I don’t know what to do from here

Yeah that's rough man. I had the same thing happen in middle school and I haven't talked to the girl since the first year of high school because I sensed it would never work out. There's nothing wrong with accepting things like that although I know it's hard. The social circle part is probably the hardest thing to navigate so I guess you should just ask yourself if you'd be willing to lose her as a friend if you went all in for her.
