Have you ever heard of a band called Gneissmaker? I found their album Forty Acre Fugue on the blog 'I Hate the 90s' - the link might still work. They were from Minneapolis during the AmRep years, but they were never on the label. It's sort of at the crossroads of Thrash, Noise Rock, Math Rock, and Jazz. Sounds like Watchtower, Coroner, Hammerhead, Helmet, Dazzling Killmen, and Don Caballero at the same time.

Just started listening to this album. Jack Endino's band before he devoted himself to production. If you like Die Kreuzen around the time of October File and Century Days, you'll probably like this.

@Ledgemund this band is very strange, mix of alt-rock, rock in opposition and (depending on the era) synth pop (early), noise rock, folk rock (later)
they were from the Czech Republic. vocals are weird and histrionic, all in native Czech


this band is from Ukraine, blending rockabilly, surf, krautrock/space rock and post-punk in a weird way, mumbled native Ukrainian language vocals, they dressed like greasers/teddy boys and sometimes used industrial metal percussion.
