I am doing a PPL split. What should I do for leg day at the gym if I don’t do heavy squats or deadlift?

I am stopping doing heavy squats and deadlifts because I’m scared of injuries

What should I replace them with

So far I am doing lunges, box jumps, goblet squats, front squats, one legged kettlebell deadlifts, and pistol squats and leg press

leg extensions hamstring curls rdl's and hip thrusts

JFL at you with your PPL routine while @Arborist just picks heavy stuff and puts them back down and mogs your whole lineage

Leg Press is a the go-to exercise if you don't squat or hack squat machine if your gym has one.

For quads, legpress and legextensions are fine. Bulgarian split squats are amazing

For hamstrings, I would still include a stiff leg deadlift. Not only for the hamstring, glute and lowerback/erector development (actually very important for back thickness/aesthetics), but because hinging is one of the foundational movement patterns.

A good program should always have a vertical push and pull, horizontal push and pull, and lower push (squat) and pull (hinge/deadlift). Those hit every muscle in your body which is important for aesthetics, but also mobility and general functionality/strength
