Horrible. My Post prandial blood glucose level was 173 mg/dL. I am currently in a prediabetic stage (A perfect blow to my face) If there is a prolonged continuation of this level I’m very highly prone to diabetes before the fucking age of 21!
It is evident that my family is harbouring concerns about my well-being.. And I would say, this is mainly stress hyperglycemia. Stress hyperglycemia is when the insulin receptor activity is depleted cause of the increased secretion of cortisol which promotes glycolysis and increased plasma blood glucose level.
I am cognizant of this phenomenon as of late, as my consumption of unhealthy and sugar-laden edibles has become quite infrequent. Additionally, I have adopted an intermittent fasting regimen and maintained a consistent daily sleep duration of no less than 8 hours for an extended period. However, in light of the impending arrival of my academically challenging examinations, I find myself grappling with heightened levels of stress-induced cortisol, precipitating an unfortunate state of hyperglycemia. This predicament is undeniably formidable cause for me food is NOT the cause.
The test was done by a glucometer at my home and it was self assessed. I had it done after a meal, when the blood sugar is high (post prandial).
Normal healthy range :- 70- 140 mg/dL. Anything below 200 can be treated without medications and through diet modifications alone as recent research has been conducted in the self healing capacity of pancreas and the islets of Langerhans through healthy clean diet.
>200mg/dL is when you need medications and if ever reached above 250, then it’s diabetes. Consider yourself dead if you ever get this in this early age of life.
