To explain what i mean, basically: the first time that you watch the show it's about Walter White, a troubled high school teacher who go to extreme lengths to secure his family future before he dies, and some random guy ride with him on that adventure.

The second time it's truly something else, it's about how this Highschool kid getting manipulated by this HIGH T DARK TRIAD Heisenberg and getting fucked over and over again while being hopeless, with endless tragedies.

I've watched it 2 times this year and that's how i feel about it. imo you have to watch this show AT LEAST twice. most people would anyway.

Bro obviously you realize that but a second watch hits way harder because you already know the full form of Heisenberg.

The first time I watched I kinda rooted for walter till the end but in the second time I could finally see how much of a crazy person he is...

He is a poor school teacher, with a crippled son and a pregnant wife, having lots of financial problems; such an archetype is almost always portrayed as a good person, the typical hero journey. But it turns out that he is evil and insane. Thats something you would not expect. Its a great show.

I still fully understand him even at the end. but that's the beauty of it, not everyone see it in exactly the same way.

I never watched it when it was actually on TV, so I watched it last year in a week on Netflix cause everyone says its one of the GOAT series. I feel like the beginning was pretty interesting, and the end. A lot of the episodes were filler I was playing it at like 2x speed cause I was bored as shit.

I guess if you were watching it episode by episode with a week in between, you don't realize how much of it is Walt and Skylar and Jesse just fucking talking in pointless circles. And that the main character Walter has insane literal plot armor throughout the series, whereas if it was in any way realistic he would have been shot in the head maybe 50-100 times already. The series gets so much better when Hank becomes more of a main character.

It's not pointless at all, that's literally all the build up that makes everything so good later on when he's losing control of his old self.

Well yeah, like when he came to this 2 Mexicans and told them to fuck off his territory, obviously irl they might have killed him, but hey it's a show after all, 100% realistic is boring most of the time, you have to add some spice.

Hank is amazing, never got enough of him.

i watched seasons 1 through 3 in 2011 and then i stopped watching entirely and picked it up again from where i left off in 2020 and then i finished the entire show. maybe its cause i got 10 years older but i didnt need a rewatch to realize walter went from a struggling family man to a full-blown psychopath. amazing television show, cant believe it took me a decade to finally watch all of it.

People here take it too literally it's funny to me, you're not a genius bro it's ok, everyone realized that. it hits way way harder the second time.

I knew this but I still rooted for Walter up until he killed Mike, then I kind of wanted Jesse to just escaped but he snitched so then I wanted Saul to get out because he was the only one that still had the cleanest rep to me tbh.

That usually happens to every show you rewatch though. You know whats going to happen that's why it doesn't hit as hard. Also you already know the twists and turns the plot takes. You will never get that same feeling when you watched it the first time, also knowing that Walter becomes a psychopath, that image will always stick with you when you rewatch it
