If I were to hypothetically have a daughter the most important thing I would teach her to keep her safe from men is to not accept anything for free. Whether this be free dinners, drinks, gifts or even something as seemingly innocuous as free emotional support or care. This is how actually dangerous and abusive men think. They start by letting a woman rack up some sort of “debt” with them and then they take something in return. It’s just like prison. While the same applies to men it’s a really easy trap for women. Society conditions women to think that men should give them stuff when in reality it puts them in a dangerous situation. Pretty much all of those celebrity abuse stories you hear on the news come from some stupid girl accepting gifts or favors from a celebrity.
