IGF1 DES is a short acting, localized growth factor that binds directly to IGF1 receptors on osteoblasts the cells responsible for bone formation making it uniquely effective for targeted bone remodeling when injected into specific areas like the zygos, chin, infraorbital rim, or even brow ridge (though that’s risky due to nerve proximity). Unlike HGH or IGF1 LR3, which work systemically and can’t be site specific, DES acts only where it’s injected, bypassing the liver and IGF binding proteins. When combined with “bone smashing” (localized percussive trauma), this activates Wolff’s Law the biological principle that bone adapts to mechanical stress resulting in microdamage that signals the body to reinforce the bone matrix. Injecting IGF1 DES post smashing enhances this effect, amplifying osteoblast activity and potentially thickening or strengthening the targeted bone area over time. Theoretically, adding PTH analogs like teriparatide (used medically to treat osteoporosis) could further accelerate bone remodeling by tipping the balance toward bone formation. While not guaranteed to give surgery level results, this stack IGF1 DES + trauma + PTH analog + nutrients like K2, D3, calcium, and collagen offers a fringe but biologically sound route for subtle, long term improvements in facial bone mass.
