This post is not a guide or tutorial, nor is it meant to encourage anyone to attempt the same procedure. I’m simply sharing my personal experience for informational purposes only. I was fully aware of the risks involved when I decided to do this myself. 1. Pre-injection planning
Before I did this, I already had experience doing my own chin filler, I did 2.0ml of revolax deep, but later regretted choosing revolax deep as it’s not a high-g filler & the sharpness of my results faded quickly.
Members like @Veridic have used it in the past and say it works well, so to each their own, do your own research on brands before buying, don't just blindly trust me or any other user.

My jaw is both too narrow & too downgrown, this was caused by shit habits growing up but oh well, not much else I can do at this stage of my life.
My goal for this project was simply a wider jaw, once you’re actually hands-on, you’ll realize it’s very difficult to navigate around your jaw with a syringe accurately as a beginner, meaning I gave up on the hopes of getting a better gonial angle (maybe once I get better at it)
2. Risk-prevention measures
Your gonions are a low risk area to inject, there's no major arteries running through there, and realistically worst case scenario you just inject your muscle (fine, just not ideal). Aspirating isn't neccesary for this region, but if it helps you feel more comfortable, feel free to do so.
(the real worst case scenario is injecting near/in an artery, but you realistically won't do this)
I have hyaluronidase (dissolver) on standby if I do end up, for whatever reason, injecting in/too close to an artery on accident. My injection was done at midnight on a Sunday, I couldn’t let my parents find out so I gave myself time to inject, then stayed up all night, by the time I got tired I could tell if I did anything wrong or not (Signs of a Vascular Occlusion are instant or take a few hours)
3. Injection Site
Filler migration happens mainly due to the filler being placed in a superficial region with lots of movement, since you chew daily, injecting in your masseter will increase the chance of migration.
If you’re intelligent about filler you’ll get it dissolved once you notice signs of migration, or even get it fully dissolved before your next session.
This graphic generally applies to everybody, there will be nuance depending on the person, but your facial artery will always come from under your jaw (see the transparent part of the red vein)
This means that your ramus has no artery near the injection site, for safety (or if you just want to draw on yourself) you can locate the artery yourself:
Place a finger on the middle of your jaw, and move that finger around until you feel something with a pulse, that’s your facial artery. Now attempt to trace it as far as you can, and draw a line where you traced it. You can use this line as a visual for where the artery you need to avoid is.
Locating this artery is only needed if you're using a cannula and going along your mandibular plane. If you're interested in doing this, feel free to DM me about a result catered towards you.
Placement wise, we’re going to try and replicate the look of outward gonions
You’ll want to place the filler at the lower end of your ramus; in the corner of your jaw, to replicate the flared effect. Inject the filler bone-deep.
4. Step-by-step

1. Disinfect your environment and the injection site with alcohol wipes
2. Once your area is sterile, prepare your syringes, get a vial of hyaluronidase & some saline next to you.
3. Remove the cap from your syringe, and add the needle that comes with the package. Medeyra Shape comes with a cannula, which would only be used for more complicated & precise results. Figuring out how to use a cannula as a beginner is difficult.
4. Hold the bottom of your jaw, so that you can clearly see where your mandible & what your neck is.
5. Enter the injection point, if you're having trouble pushing the filler out of the syringe, it means you're pressing against the bone too hard, bring the syringe a couple mm out, and try pushing again.
6. Aspirate, hold the syringe in your injection point for 10-12 seconds and pull back on the syringe a little bit. If blood enters the syringe, change injection spots. There's no major arteries in the injection points depicted, so realistically you'll be fine without aspirating, but it is still a habit you should get into if you're planning on doing your own filler
7A. If blood enters the syringe, remove the needle, and try changing your injection spot by a few mm to get away from the region you drew blood in. Start again from step 6 with your new injection spot.
7B. If blood does not enter the syringe, you can now start injecting the filler, I would suggest doing 0.3-0.5 at a time, then checking on what it looks like in the mirror. Keep in mind you'll be swollen, so your results will be exaggerated, you can assume 20-30% of the results you see in the mirror once you're done will fade by the time your swelling is gone.
8. You're done injecting now. Look out for discoloration or unusual pain, these are both signs of a vascular occlusion in the making, if you leave a vascular occlusion untreated it can give you necrosis around the injection spot (Looksmin). If you notice any signs of a vascular occlusion, reconstitute your vial of hyaluronidase with the saline, and use 15-25 units per 0.1 mL of filler. (If you have 0.5ml in your jaw and notice signs, inject 75-125 units of hyaluronidase, try and inject it in the same area you injected the filler in, but you don't need to be perfect.
5. Injection Process [ VIDEOS ]
I did multiple rounds of small amounts (0.1-0.2 at a time) and stopped when I started to look uncanny,
I didn't manage to record literally every single round, but here's a few snippets.
I did some more in a discord call with @unon & @ ruby (ruby on .com, not here). But looked so disgusting in those clips that I chose not to include them.
Your visibility won't be amazing since you're injecting the corner of your jaw, so it's difficult to be accurate & symmetrical, get yourself a few mirrors reflecting off of eachother at an angle where you can see it, I didn't do this since I didn't have multiple portable mirrors, but it would've helped a lot.
6. Healing Process & Results
Avoid movement in the region you injected, in this case your gonions. Talking, chewing, or anything that opens & closes your jaw is movement, and can cause your filler to settle worse.
Unswolen results after 1.0ml. In my original success thread I said I did 0.8 (0.3 + 0.5) but I was unhappy with the symmetry of my results, and went with another 0.2 to balance it out.
