The LN is better though, the anime is quite boring really. I've watched S1 was quite alright. S2 was a snoozefest. And season 3 was even more boring... It reminds me of the school shenanigans episodes that Code Geass had. They should be exploring more abt Koji's character and other cool characters, but instead it feels too "Slice of Life-y". Might pick it up tho I stopped around the middle of S3 cuz it was so uninteresting to me.

I've recently re-read the manga of Death Note and to be fair. Light should have won. Even in the end. It was actually Mikami that made Light lose. (I guess you can say Light shouldn't have trusted Mikami).
lite novels are always goated, but I disagree with you on the seasons, season 1 was a decent start, 2 was the best season with the worst first few episodes i've seen in a while, and season 3 is just buildup for the next season
