I am firm in my belief that an overwhelming majority of anxiety stems from inadequacy in other areas.

Fix the problems that you're implicitly insecure about, then take some pregabalin and do exposure therapy. This is what worked for me. Will it necessarily work for you? No. However, there's not that much nuance with this type of thing unless you have some sort of trauma you've (justifiably) omitted from the context given.
